Twenty nine years ago today, I became a father of a wonderful daughter.
Thirty nine years ago today, I was finishing up my second day at U.S. Air Force Basic Training.
Fast forward, my son is now four years old, the same age I was when Bob Dylan released The Times They Are a-Changin’. Times are still changin’.
In twenty six days, we will have a new president.
And I find that next year, my work life may be a bit different than expected.
All these turning points, and so many others, offer opportunities and challenges.
Changes. “All conditioned phenomena are impermanent” (Dhammapada Verse 277)
I am prompted to this reflection by changes imposed on this site via a hosting company failure.
I have finally gotten this site going again on a new server. It was tedious, but offered the chance to do some tidy-up chores.
As high emotions often lead to regrettable posts, being offline may have been a blessing. I have been posting on another site, but so far, it has generated little feedback. And, this other site gave me a chance to practice equanimity (I need practice).
I look forward the the possibilities of next year! I am seeking serendipity.
