And, we’re off!

First day of classes at Candler School of Theology yesterday…! Orientation was really great, including a day of Contextual Education  (aka “hit the ground running”) orientation on Tuesday. We visited our work site, Wesley Woods, and I am looking forward to the challenges of working there. I think this incoming class is a  great  cohort.

Have been as Candler €˜s new student orientation yesterday and today. We have a short day tomorrow, starting with an optional 5k run at 7am! They are hosting a lunch with family to wrap things up (well, sort of wrap things up, as we have Contextual Education orientation next Tuesday). I have been very impressed

Atlanta’s largest anti-war demonstration in 30 years

Last Saturday, November 9, 2002, we had a protest. We gathered at the King Center and marched to Centennial Olympic Park. The AJC touted the march as “Atlanta’s largest anti-war demonstration in 30 years…” They also estimated about 2,500 people marched.
