Uses my Contentor Content Management System (CMS), allowing the staff to edit content. Pertinent material is made available in plain text and PDF formatsand the site integrates with a photo album and third-party calendar. The random photo bar at the top of each page gives visitors a “sense of face and place” without placing a burden on editors to place photos on particular pages. |

This site runs in a courseware environment with no access to server-side scripting. As a high degree of user interactivity was required, I implemented many of the features in JavaScript. The map is a graphical representation of obesity trends color-coded by state. The images progress through 18 years of data one time upon page load, and allows the user to flip between years or restart the automatic sequence. Throughout the site, reference and footnotes are available via pop-up boxes. |

Mental Health Scenarios |

Developer / Programmer |
| Features: |
This is a custom program based upon my Contentor CMS. It implements a practice examination similar to the National Clinical Mental Health Examination in format, number of scenarios and scoring procedures. The scenarios present cases that might be encountered in a clinical setting, giving immediate detailed feedback to the examinee for the choices selected. At any point, the previous feedback can be reviewed and choices expanded on the left side of the screen via dynamically-generated JavaScript/DHTML. The program is able to implement multiple-path scenarios and students can revisit previous choices. At certain stages in the clinical process, the examinee must choose the proper diagnosis in order to continue. A final score is made available to the instructor along with detailed record of each student's choices and progress. |

Developer, Co-Designer and Administrator |
| Features: |
Uses my Contentor CMS and includes a community message board and mailing list server. The organization officers and committee chairs are kept in the database for ease of maintenance. When the person filling a role changes, a single edit of the database updates all instances of that person/role on the entire site. |
| Notes: |
The content on this site is maintained by several volunteers. Of particular value, the events listing automatically updates as events pass, alleviating the need for constant attention. |
